*To God be all the glory, today in history, September 25th 2021 was exactly one year of Mmaku General Youths Summit titled: The role of Youths in security, Substance ( Drug) abuse and community development.*

*The resources persons for the program was: Dr. Augustine Okolie, Dr. Chikazie Obasi and Mr. Enerst Okolie. It was a huge success.*

*At the end of the program we issued a communique which read:*

*"Communique issued at the end of the 1st Edition of the Mmaku Youths summit on 25th September, 2021*

*1) We bless God for the wonderful and well attended youths Summit.*

*2) To those who see for the success of this maidan edition, we pray that God will reward you awesomely.*

*3) This summit should be annual program for the continuous direction and re-orientation of our teaming youths.*

*4) We frown at idleness because an idle man is the devil's workshop. Therefore Youths who are awaiting high institution admissions are advised to acquire a skill.*

*5) Chosing friends or peer group should be wisely selected as no body is born drug addict, most are influenced by peer groups.*

*6) We traced insecurity to substance abuse and hence decided to identify the dealers of the deadly Met or mkurumiri in Mmaku and have an interface discussion with them in other to communicate our collective decision to them. We resolved that no more sales or intake of met in Mmaku as anyone who defaults will be served with capital punishment such as leave town or handed over to the NDLEA.*

*7) Youths should choose mentors as such will act as guide towards their effective career and also feel free to come close to our igwes, PGs, youth leaders, Religious leaders and other leaders of thoughts for advise.*

*8) Youths should know that there is no free money anyway in the world. One must work hard and smart to be rich.*

*9) Our security arms should be void of bias and discharge their dutied without fear or favour and equally live by example.*

*10) Our igwes and PGs should call a town hall meeting of all the major stakeholders in Mmaku. These stakeholders include but not limited to the Youths leaders, Neigborhood watch, women leaders, Mmaku professionals etc*. *At the end of such Town Hall meet, a communique of do's and don'ts (Alu ) in Mmaku*. *Which will be read in all villages and clans in Mmaku and appropriate punishment will be proscribed to offenders and enforced by Youths and Neighbourhood.*

*11) With the help of our stakeholders (Igwe's and PGs) A memorandum of understanding should be entered with NDLEA and other relevant agencies to checkmate the inflow of hard drugs in our community.*

*12)Women for women centre located at Affam Mmaku close to afo market should as a matter of urgency be revived. That will keep most of our girls busy to reduce the rate of early pregnancy by our young girls. The Igwe of Agunese autonomous community and the PG should please look into it.*

*13) Mmaku catholic centre (St. Theresa's nursery, primary and secondary school) should be revived.* *Mmaku should set up a committee to interface with the major stakeholders of the school on how to restore the lost glory of the school irrespective of who controls the revenue.* *As the dilapidating facilities at the center is a big slap on our face.*

*15) Our Neighborhood should be properly equipped.*
